Learn about Nutrition

Follow these 4 steps to achieve your Kinetix nutrition goals.

Step 1: Learn to K-Count

Step 2: Meeting your K-Count

Step 3: Planning Free Targets

Step 4: Now, what's for dinner?

Step 1: Learn to K-Count

Count the right calories. Based on your age, weight, current activity level and gender, Kinetix will determine how many K-Balanced () calories your body needs every day so you don’t have to.

Your K-Count gives you 3 daily targets to aim for, it’s easy – one number for morning, one for afternoon, and one for evening. At the end of the day, add them up and you will know if you are on track towards getting and staying in the best shape of your life.

K-Counting is simple and fast. You will love the food and never feel deprived- most importantly, you will see results.

Step 2. Meeting your K-Count

Each Kinetix recipe and product is given a K-Count or number. This number tells you how many calories are in the meal or snack. Remember all Kinetix recipes are balanced with 40% of the calories coming from carbohydrates, 40% from protein and 20% from fat. This 40|40|20 ratio makes our nutrition K-Balanced.

You may notice there are no K6, K7, K8, or K9 recipes. Remember, you are going to be eating 6 times a day, every 2-3 hours, so break up each K-Count target the best way that works for you.

Check out our sample journal page to see how easy it is to meet your K-Count. Meeting your K-Count is a key component to building a leaner, more toned body. For the best results it’s very important that you stay within 1 count (higher or lower) of each target number. Track your hunger and your meal timing in your journal. Let this be your guide to how fast you are reaching your goals.

*A variance of 5 points for each macronutrient is allowed, for example: 37% carbohydrates, 42% protein and 21% fat is still within the 40/40/20 balanced range; food and recipes going beyond this 5 point range are no longer considered K-Balanced.

Step 3: Planning Free Targets

What kind of a lifestyle would it be if you had to say goodbye to your favorite foods and drinks? That sounds more like a diet.

Your Kinetix free targets are a necessary part of your nutrition. Free targets alleviate feelings of deprivation and guilt, side effects typical of calorie restricting diets. Yes, you can eat chocolate cake and be lean and strong. Remember it’s what you eat the majority of the time, not once in a while that will lead to your success.

To get the best results with Kinetix, alcohol is best enjoyed during your free targets. Alcohol adds calories and interferes with the body’s ability to burn fat. Every week you will plan for 2 free targets each replacing one meal and one snack. Then get back to K-Counting! Check out our free target journal page.

Step 4: Now, what’s for dinner?

It’s easy to combine on-hand ingredients into a fast, delicious K-Balanced meal. Once you understand the principles of K-Balanced foods, we recommend using the following guidelines in your Kinetix Top Chef endeavors:

Your K-Count combination may change along your journey. Recheck your K-Count combination every four weeks using the K-Count Calculator.
