I had a craving for for BBQ Chicken Pizza and set out to create it and this is what I came up with and it was fantastic.
- Preparation Time: 10 minutes
- Cooking Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
- Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 Boboli whole wheat thin crust pizza
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 3 sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 ounces shredded reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 pound cooked chicken breast, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.Place the pizza crust on a cookie sheet.
- Add the green onion, cilantro and garlic powder to the BBQ sauce and mix well. Spread mixture onto the pizza crust and top with cheese.
- Add the 2 tablespoons of water to the container you mixed the BBQ sauce in and mix well. Using a brush baste the chicken with the BBQ and water mixture and add the chicken evenly to the top of the pizza.
- Bake the pizza for about 15 minutes checking periodically to ensure the cheese is not burning.

- I added mushrooms and broccoli and you truly can add any K0's and it's still delic! Not very filling for a K3 for dinner though so maybe that's why they suggest pairing it with a K0 salad.

- I made this last night for my three teenagers - they loved it. My son actually thought that I bought this already made. This has just become a family favorite that I will make sure I always have the ingrediants for. WONDERFUL!

- I love this recipe! So easy, and quick! I make it a little different each time, adding bell peppers, more or less onions, more or less cilantro, I even added a little pineapple once for my brother. This so far is the only recipe that my enitre family actually enjoys-household of 8, hard to please everyone!!

- Kid-friendly, quick, and very satisfying...I added a large green pepper, diced, and about 2 cups of steamed broccoli to make it very healthy...I also used a tablespoon of minced roasted garlic and a tablespoon of minced raw garlic...definite make-again!

- This pizza is wonderful! I only sliced 1/2 of a green onion and 1/2 the cilantro with the bbq sauce so it wouldn't be too overpowering. Loved it!!! Very tasty!!! Very easy!!!
