  • Please note, if you remove the milk-you change the K-count. I suggest removing the water instead.

  • My family LOVES these smoothies - they taste just like a milkshake! To make them thick and smooth, blend the cottage cheese with the water first - until you can't see lumps any more. Also, I usually don't include the milk - makes it too runny. Our favorite combo is with raspberry yogurt and strawberries. Add a shot of sugar-free vanilla syrup, and it tastes just like a thick creamy milkshake. Mmmmmm.

  • I make this with no additional sweeteners b/c the yogurt has some when I use a flavored kind. Also, try it with sparkling water instead of just plain water for an extra zing!!

  • Hands down, the BEST smoothie recipe Kinetix has to offer! So easy to make and very filling! Sometimes I even have it for lunch. Never had a problem with the texture. In fact, since there isn't any protein powder in this smoothie, I never find it gritty or chalky. Perfect way to hit K-targets when you're busy!

  • Also I wouldn't use the artificial sweetners.

  • Could you cut the water so it wouldn't make so much and instead of 1% milk and almonds use SILK ALMOND MILK. Or does that mess up K Count...not too much I would think...

  • This looks amazing, but I feel sick whenever I use artificial sweeteners such as splenda , is there a substitute?

  • This recipe is absolutely AMAZING!!! If its gritty to you then blend it longer :) Mine was perfect!

  • I actually didn't like this recipe so much. The texture is really what did it in for me. It leaves an almost powdery feel in my mouth. I couldn't get the ice cube to completely blend in, and I don't like CHEWING my smoothies.. The almonds threw it off, although they did add a nice flavour. Maybe it's because I used fat free cottage cheese and 2 percent milk(its all I had in the house).... I'll probably try again with other variations, though..

  • Such large smoothies! Totally filling and almonds add more flavor than you would expect. I used frozen mixed berries and soy and was a great and filling strart to my day.

  • Just love this smoothie! I use lowfat Vanilla Yogurt and Frozen Blueberries though Strawberries then Peaches come in a close 2nd. One serving will fill 2 large tumblers which is great for a growing boy like me cuz I need substance or I starve. It is fast to make and very easy. I make this at least three times a week. I love the amount which helps fill me up!

  • I absolutely love this smoothie, and so did my kids! I used frozen blueberries, sweetened with a bit of Stevia, vanilla fat free yogurt. Oh, heaven in cup! Considering I split this one with my kids, I'm assuming it would count as a K2. So much smoothie in this recipe... fantastic!

  • I love this one! I have made it twice and have the recipe memorized. This is a very large portion. It fills up 2 of my travel coffee mugs. First time around it took me about an hour to finish. I find it better to split into two k2. I blend mine on whip for about 1 minute. DEEELISH

  • This is a nice easy meal to make. I love actually making 5 different batches and sticking them in Nalgene bottles in the freezer for when I am ready for them. The night before I know that I want it, I just pull it out into the fridge. Such as easy breakfast....

  • I LOVE this smoothie and drink it every day on the way to work. My favorite is with Dole Frozen Wild Blueberries and Vanilla flavored Fat Free Yogurt...YUM!

  • Yummy, yes, but be advised: This makes a HUGE smoothie, it overflowed my 16-oz pub glass, and that's without the water and ice cubes. And it's hugely filling, too, with all that yogurt, cottage cheese and milk. From now on, I'm going to split it into 2 K-2 snacks.

  • I have this smoothie multiple times per week. It's very easy to make and the best part of this smoothie is the addition of the almonds. It really gives it a great flavor and balances out the sweet.

  • Not bad. Next time I'll try it with Splenda instead of Stevia and maybe a different yogurt too.

  • I really like this for a breakfast meal. It is filling, yummy and satisfying. I've found frozen fruit is critical even if you take your fresh berries and freeze them overnight. It creates a rich yummy drink.

  • When I made this the first time it was watery and chunky from the almonds. I gave it another shot today, but I did not add the 1 cup of water. I also used frozen strawberries and a couple blueberries...now I like it.

  • I tried this smoothie today and it is great. I used mixed berries and Strawberry yogurt. Can't wait to try some different ones especially since I am going to get some SF syrups. I can use them instead of the splenda.

  • This is a great recipe, I really enjoy it as a quick K4 breakfast. Some flavor combinations I've found that I enjoy: -Strawberries and/or blueberries with lite banana yogurt -Triple Berries (4# bags at Costco) with lite berry yogurt Another tip - put everything but the ice and frozen berries in the blender the night before, then stick that in the fridge. It saves a few crucial moments in the morning for an extra "snooze" button!
