Flavoring store-bought mayo with chopped chipotle chile is a great culinary trick to remember. Try it on other deli sandwiches like roast beef or sliced chicken.

Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
- 2 tablespoons cilantro
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon canned minced chipotle chile in adobo
- 4 slices multi-grain bread, toasted
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced deli smoked turkey
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the romaine, onion, salt, cilantro and lime juice. In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise and chipotle chili. Spread the mayonnaise on the four slices of bread and top the bottoms of the sandwiches with the turkey. Mound the lettuce mixture on top, cover with the top slice and serve.
